PROCESS ENGINEER
Zeopore is a fast-growing high-tech company with advanced chemical processes and patents for the modification of industrial zeolites used in various catalytic applications such as traditional refining operations, petrochemical processes and circular technologies like sustainable fuels, bio-chemicals, advanced plastic waste recycling and carbon capture. Our technology delivers millions of USD of value and a significant CO2 reduction to our customers worldwide.
In the course of 2023-2024, our semi-industrial production unit in Leuven was designed and build. The commissioning was finalized at the beginning of this year and the first industrial volumes are successfully produced. This semi-industrial unit is used as a demonstration “fingerprint” for future large-scale production and is built to produce a yearly output of 200 ton products.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing, documenting, and validating our production processes. You will work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Operator, QA, R&D and EHS to ensure safe, efficient, and robust processes. You will take the lead in several projects to ensure a smooth scale-up on the semi-industrial installation. Additionally, you will be responsible for technical documentation, process and safety studies, and hands-on support on the production floor when required. Finally, you will act as a back-up in absence of the Operations Manager.
Your Role

Prepare and maintain production and process documentation ranging from P&IDs over work instructions to process capability overviews.

Investigation of non-conformities and out-of-spec results.

Lead, coordinate, and support process safety studies, such as HAZOP, MOC, task risk assessments and incident reporting.

Prepare, plan, and manage process qualification and validation activities for new products/recipes, in close collaboration with R&D.

Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of process and equipment improvements.

Provide on-site support during test runs and commercial production.
Your ASSETS

​You hold a master degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent through experience with at least 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing, process, or chemical industry environments.

Analytical, structured, and hands-on mindset.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Good knowledge of process documentation, safety studies, and validation workflows.

Demonstrable debottlenecking and problem-solving skills.

Already build up good relationships with external technical companies.

Flexible and great adaptability to changes in fast paced environment.
